Marian Rivera and Heart Evangelista’s Dolce & Gabbana shirts created quite a buzz recently as fans from both sides started a “who wore the fake shirt” war.
It all started when blogger Mike Lim, a.k.a. Fashion Pulis, pitted the two against each other on his Instagram account with a collage of their photos captioned with “who wore it better?”
As a response, Heart’s friend who goes by the username @anne__bonhomme fanned the flames stating "the design in Arabic is supposed to have a banana."
Clearly, she was referring to Marian Rivera’s Arabic D&G shirt versus Heart’s D&G shirt in Chinese.
Heart’s friend also pointed out that the flower on Marian’s shirt is too far up on her shoulder whereas it’s supposed to be near the letter ‘G’.
Aimee Hashim, Marian’s personal shopper, defended her from allegations of wearing a fake t-shirt.

In order to prove the authenticity of Marian’s shirt, she uploaded a collage of the shirt’s two versions. One shows a design for a 3-year-old on the bottom left and one for a 12-year-old on the upper right.
In her post, she said "@anne__bonhomme A personal shopper contacted by gabbana themselves... what else is there to prove?
Flew to SG to preview their collection in Asia this season two weeks ago.

Oh and by the way, what size do you wear? Cos I shop for a model who wears xxs or 0.
Grow up, move on and let go of your baggage. Also, why don't we try to wear things first? Isn't that better?"
Aimee stated in an interview that she is “100 percent certain the shirt is real.”
"I am just waiting for documents from D&G Dubai to put this to rest. I can swear my life on that," she added.
More proof that Aimee showed to the public of the shirt’s authenticity is the receipt from when she purchased it in Dubai.
