Terror struck the region of Bohol as a troop consisting of 7 Abu Sayyaf members are reportedly hiding out in the province.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is offering a bounty of 1 Million Pesos for every Abu Sayyaf terrorist caught dead or alive - unsurprisingly, he prefers the former - in Bohol. The president rationalized it by saying catching them alive would only mean that the government would have to feed them.
According to Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff, Gen. Eduardo Año, the cell is not to be treated lightly as they are led by Joselito Melloria, an Abu terrorist with a high standing in their hierarchy. Melloria is one of the next potential leaders of the infamous terrorist cell.
Reportedly, the Abu Sayyaf has no means to take Bohol as their new territory and are only out there to take hostages for ransom.
To hasten the mission, the President is encouraging civilians to take up arms against the militants. He also said that they should add all the drug addicts in the area to their hunt.
However, Defense Sceretary Maj. Gen. Delfin Lorenzana says that it will only take days before all of the terrorists are in their custody.
