Sexual harassment comes in many forms.
If you’re doing lascivious acts on a person who isn’t consenting to your actions then that’s harassment. From kissing a woman who said ‘no’ or taking an ‘upskirt photo’, all those actions are considered a form of sexual harassment.
Naturally, those kinds of actions are not only very insulting to women they are illegal.
Trending all over social media today was a 36-year-old Filipino engineer who was arrested for taking upskirt videos at Singapore’s Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) stations.
In a report by the Straits Times, Jan Benedict Mendoza Fuellas admitted “to one charge of intending to insult the modesty of a 26-year-old woman at Bukit Panjang MRT station, and seven counts of intruding into the privacy of unknown women.”
A 24-year-old Singaporean witness noticed that Fuellas became increasingly and uncomfortably close to a woman in an orange dress. The witness alerted the woman and they discovered that Fuellas had been taking an upskirt video of the lady.
They took Fuellas to the MRT station’s control center then to the proper authorities.
It was discovered that Fuellas had a very sizable collection after they got past his password protected phone. He had 38 upskirt videos recorded on his phone.
According to reports, Fuellas is facing 16 weeks in prison.
Way to represent your countrymen Mr Fuellas. Shameful.
