A certain Filipino-American personality became the talk of the town after being appointed as the Assistant Press Secretary for Donald Trump.
23-year-old Ninio Fetalvo was personally asked by Press Secretary Sean Spicer to be his assistant after they worked together at the Republican National Committee. According to Fetalvo, it's a humbling experience for him.
“It’s truly a very humbling experience. It’s a real honor to work on behalf of our country and the American people. I’m really excited to see what President Trump and Vice President [Mike] Pence accomplish to truly make the country great again,” he stated in an interview.
With this, he would be handling different issues ranging from labor, education, transportation, and veterans affairs.
“Being at this position in the White House really excites me to just be able to help communicate and emphasize the policies that [are] really going to make our community better and more prosperous,” he shared.
One of Fetalvo's parents hailed from Bicol and the family has migrated to the US. He graduated with a degree in political communication from the George Washington University and previously worked for RNC in which he held different positions. This includes Asia Pacific American Press Secretary, Florida Communications Director, and Deputy Director of Media Affairs of the 2016 Republican National Convention. He also worked as the Deputy Director of Strategic Media of the 58th Presidential Inaugural Committee which was in charge of the recent inauguration for President Donald Trump.
