Aileen Adalid is living the dream.
The 24-year-old Filipina's travel goals are unlike any other, because she not only travels across the world and blogs about it, unbelievably, she gets paid for it too.
The young self-described 'digital nomad' has been a part of the corporate world since she was 19. She graduated from De La Salle University with a degree in Business Management and worked in the corporate sector for about 2 years.
After working at Deutsche Bank, she decided to pursue her dream of travelling, so she worked as a freelancer in the fields of web design, graphic design and online marketing.
"At 21, I quit my corporate job in the Philippines to follow my dreams of traveling the world. Today, I am a digital nomad (entrepreneur & travel writer) living a sustainable travel lifestyle!" she shared.
Her decision to work in freelance gave her more time to pursue what she loved – travelling. Fortunately, her lifestyle turned into a career that earns her $5,000 a month through her travel blog. About 70 % of her blog’s income goes to her alone.
Since then, her journeys take up most of her free time
According to her, she hopes to "show how it is absolutely possible to create a life of travel despite odds and circumstances", as well as to "discuss the best types of experiences and resources that will help any kind of traveler in planning a memorable getaway or RTW (round-the-world) travel."
