College students from University of New York have found gold in another's trash. An old couch worth $20 found on Salvation Army unexpectedly had $42,000 hidden in it.
At first, the couch came with nothing but a bit of comfort and an unpleasant smell. It served them well while they watched movies for two months until Reese, Cally and Lara felt a bit uncomfortable with the cushions.
Thanks to their curiosity, they were able to discover $700 on an envelope hidden in the sofa. Later on, they found $40,000 more inside other envelopes.
However, there is more to the story. In one of the envelopes, they found the name of a woman and were luckily able to get her information from a phone book. Fortunately, the woman answered!
They later found out that the money was saved by the woman's husband for 30 years inside the old couch.
Due to their honesty and kind hearts, each one of them were given $1,000.
