Many were taken aback about the burial of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos at Libingan ng mga Bayani which happened today around 11:45am. Many groups immediately organized protests in disagreement. Many referred to the burial as a move of "a thief in the night."
Many students and noted personalities joined protests. One being renowned singer Jim Paredes who described the burial as “bastusan”. He was one of the earliest to arrive at the Edsa Monument and was later joined by many students and alumni from like Ateneo, UP, Miriam, PUP and others.
He also posted a series of tweets express his frustration over the Marcos family who betrayed the Filipino people today.
